statement
Dreams of ghosts, fairies, and ages past... the inspiration behind my photographs. A Hershey Cocoa box is my tool. A pinprick of light is all that is required to burn my fantasies onto a sheet of film.
Pinhole Photography is the medium with which I create my art. I prefer this primitive method to the high tech automatic gadgets of modern photography. The antique aspects of the pinhole camera allow me to distort time and reality. The viewer is drawn into a world outside of our everyday existance. Is it the year 2004 or 1924? The subject is mostly my own image. The setting is ideally any place old and forgotten, left behind to decay in a quickly changing world. It is this dream world that pushes me onward to create new art. |
